Worship

Worship services are held on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am year round.  Worship is central to our life together as a community of faith.  Our sanctuary is a beautiful place to worship God.  We have lovely stained glass windows.  Our centre aisle is perfect for weddings and our sanctuary seats about 225 people.

Worship at West Plains is mostly traditional in style with a balance of old and new hymns and uplifting music.  Our Music Director, Lianne Tan, is a wonderful music leader who plays the organ and piano beautifully.  We also have many other talented musicians and singers in our church family.

We celebrate the Sacrament of Communion several times a year including Worldwide Communion in October, the first Sunday of Advent, Christmas Eve, the first Sunday of Lent, Easter, and Pentecost Sunday.

Worship at West Plains offers the good news of God’s love in Jesus Christ in a meditative and uplifting way.  Scripture stories are related to everyday life.

An important sub committee of Worship is our Keep In Touch Team (KITT).  This is a way of updating our Congregation by phone with news or events at the church.  It is also a way of keeping in contact with members and friends of the congregation who may not be able attend regularly.

Anyone who is interested may receive our worship bulletin and sermon by email, on request.
