RISING HEDONS

Folk and traditional acoustic trio, Rising Hedons was founded in 2007 by bandleader BRADLEY TINDALL (guitar). Together with MATT WELBANKS (violin) and TIM TURVEY (double bass), Rising Hedons is equal parts thoughtful storytelling and reckless abandon, their live shows capturing their unique blend of musicianship and passion which fuses soaring violin, earth-shattering percussive guitar, and the unpredictable soul of a rock & roll band.

This past summer, Rising Hedons rocked the Beaches Jazz Festival StreetFest, the main stage at It’s Your Festival, and Pier 8 Pop Ups, as well as regular appearances at the Mule Spinner. Follow @rising.hedons and Rising Hedons | Paris ON | Facebook

TOM ALLEN’S J.S. BACH’S Long Walk In The Snow

“In recent years, I have been lucky enough to gather a versatile cast of musical friends that has helped to create a series of shows that combine chamber music with story-telling, original song, and music history. We call them Chamber Musicals.” ~ Tom Allen, CBC broadcaster.

Johann Sebastian Bach is usually seen as the wise, old man of Western music, but he didn’t begin his working life that way.  At 18 years old, and in his first job as an organist, still barely beginning life as a composer but already a spectacular performer, the young genius got into such trouble that the only thing he could do was to walk away.  J.S. Bach’s Long Walk In The Snow is a chamber-musical which takes you along that 400 km odyssey. Narrated by Tom Allen, and accompanied by the glorious music of Bach and others, performed by Allen’s partner Lori Gemmell, harp, and a stellar cast of brilliant musical friends, J.S. Bach’s Long Walk In The Snow is a musical odyssey you won’t want to miss! Visit Tom Allen.

Tickets will be available soon!
