EFFUSION CHAMBER ENSEMBLE & KooGle THEATRE : THE GRATITUDE PROJECT
Inspired by a collection of poems about gratitude, The Gratitude Project is an afternoon of poetry and music which will elevate and inspire listeners. Burlington pianist, violinist, and educator, Andrea Battista, and her chamber group, Effusion, together with Christopher and Leslie Gray of KooGle Theatre, will present selected poems about gratitude by world-renowned poets from different cultures. These poems will speak of gratitude for family, friends, nature, health and life. Paired with these poems are musical selections chosen from various genres, including folk, jazz, classical and pop. Effusion consists of musicians Andrea Battista, piano, Stephanie Numan-Scholman, violin & viola, Shiori Kobayashi, clarinet & saxophone, and Jason Hales, tenor. The poems are read by actors Leslie and Christopher Gray of KooGle Theatre.
The programme runs for 90 minutes without applause, and there will be a short intermission where homemade cookies and West Plains Honey will be available for purchase.
